Awesome shop with cozy vibes and tasty noodles! They have a small lot in the back. My usual go to is their lamb cat ear noodle soup. It's a savory soup filled with chewy dough pieces (the cat ear noodle), potato, mushroom, glass noodles, wood ear and cilantro. It's such a comforting soup to get on cold days and portions are huge! I also tried their wife special noodle and it was very tasty with their tomato sauce, beef, and ground pork with egg. The noodles are chewy and bouncy! Service is great, interior is clean and spacious!

This is a really great example of a "less is more" restaurant! Their menu isn't very large that it's easy to navigate and they really excel in their house special dishes. The knife cut noodle and the wife special noodles were the two house specials we got and we thought both were excellent. You could tell the knife cut noodles were freshly made, and they seasoned it perfectly. Also loved that it came with wood ear mushroom because it's my favorite kind of mushroom. The wife noodle was very unique - it kinda reminded me of spaghetti with the tomato sauce, ground pork and the noodles, which is a good thing! I really liked how they integrated the sliced cucumbers into the noodles almost like a zoodle (zucchini noodle). Since I can't have alot of refined carbs, I really liked that I can enjoy the cucumbers in a way that it feels indulging. The texture for the wife noodle was a little chewier than the knife cut which I preferred. We also tried the cold Braised Beef in Soy Sauce and we thought this was just okay. We were intrigued because it reminded us of the cold pork hock they offer at Hui Tou Xiang, but the sliced beef was really dry and a bit bland. It went well with the sauces from the knife cut noodles and the wife noodle though, and I think it's a good choice as a side of protein seeing as the two noodle dishes are made up of mostly carbohydrates.

What's more comforting than a bowl of beef noodle soup? Not that much in my opinion. This place is on the Michelin bib gourmand list and is well deserved. When you walk in it's a typical Chinese restaurant feel. A little over 10 tables for dining in. You are greeted immediately and led to a table. Food comes out fairly quickly. Stir fried green beans 4/5 - super flavorful, a little spicy and it came out so fast! I do think ours was kind of overcooked because it wasn't as crunchy as I would like but other than that super addicting. Beef noodle soup 10/5 - does not disappoint. Meat is so tender and falls apart so easily. I could have a whole bowl of the beef in a heartbeat. Noodle consistency is chewy and so addicting. Broth is delicious as well. It was so good that I forgot to take a pic. Definitely a must order. Always my go to for beef noodle soup. Michelin well deserved.

I read about this place on eater and youtube so many times that i was extremely excited to eat food here. Definitely a place to visit when in California. I got to see the "wife" behind the "wifes" noodles at the counter Pros: The lamb cats ear noodle with potato and wood ear fungus feels like the warmest hug a soup can give you. It's so filling and such a large portion The sesame cold mung bean noodles feel so savory and refreshing on a hot sunny day. It feels like you aren't eating anything. Perfect for those restrictive days The wife's noodle which is the noodle that put this one the map combines all three things I love to have with noodles, tomato eggs, Mala mince meat and lamb with those homemade bouncy noodles just so good. Cons Nothing!!. The portions are too large. You definitely will have carb coma after a meal here, but it's worth every calorie!!

This place was on the michelin guide for bib gourmand and one of my friends wanted to try this place out. We ordered their famous wife special knife cut noodle, pork and leek dumplings, and cold jelly dish. The food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. My favorite of them was the wife special knife cut noodle. The bits of pork mixed with the tomato egg and knife cut noodles gave great flavor. The veggies also added a nice crunch to each bite compared to the chewiness of the knife cut noodles. The pork and leek dumplings were good but nothing incredible and standout. I felt like there wasn't enough filling on the inside of the dumplings. The skin was also too thick for my personal preferences. The taste of the pork and leek filling was strong and not too light. I'm not a fan of jelly dishes but this one we got was pretty good. We ordered it with mild spice. The spice and peanut sauce mixed together then slathered on the jelly made it taste good. The jelly itself has no taste and only texture. Overall, the food was decent. My friends really liked the food, even more than I did. Even though some of the dishes weren't things I like to eat, I still thought the food was good enough and worth the price. This restaurant is one that I would recommend others to try out at least once.

Always on the hunt for a good noodle place and this place didn't disappoint. Loved their tomato noodle. While their beef noodle isn't my favorite, it's solid and still very tasty.

My friend recommended this restaurant and I'm so happy that she did. I want to say we ordered almost everything on the menu, include the braised tofu with eggplant, dry pot with white broccoli (cauliflower), noodle soup with intestine, wife's special noodles, house special fried noodle, prok and leek dumplings, noodle in lamb soup, stir fry jalapeños with tofu skin, and cucumbers. Everything was delicious. Everything. If I have to pick a standout, the house special noodle and the wife's noodle were near the top. Honestly, however, you can't go wrong. We came during a Friday evening and the place got busy fairly quickly. Every table was filled, with people waiting. We were lucky enough to have been seated before the rush. The interior is spacious but overall, it is still a pretty small shop. Service was prompt and we got all our food within 10-15 minutes. There's a parking lot in the rear that shares with other shops on this strip of Baldwin. Definitely will return.

My friend saw videos of this place and we love noodles so we decided to check it out. The restaurant is at the corner Baldwin and Fairview with a parking lot in the back. We went for a early dinner on a Tuesday so the restaurant wasn't busy at all. It had a spacious interior. Pork & Cilantro Dumpling (5/5): This was good. Portion size was nice and the flavors were there. Cold Noodle with Sesame Sauce (4.5/5): I love a good sesame noodle. The noodles were thicker than what I've had before but it was nice. It was a little too al dente for my preference but still delicious. There was a good amount of sauce and the fresh cucumbers gave it a nice texture. Wife's Special Noodle with Beef, Ground Pork and Tomato with Egg (5/5): I think this is the most popular dish and I can tell why. The beef was tender and flavorful. The noodles were bouncy. It was very saucy. This place is great! I will definitely be back. I don't know if it is because we were seated in the back but it was a little difficult to get the servers attention but nothing too bad.
